Speed Scrap Layout

Tonight mom and I attended Connie's Speed Scrap Chat together. We worked together to make this layout. We used Connie Prince's Deck the Halls Kit and our font was Bradley Hand ITC. When mom was helping me with this layout I learned how to do things in my scrapbooking program that I never knew could be done. It will sure make doing layouts quicker and easier. Thanks mom.

Speed Scrap Layout

Tonight was Connie's Speed Scrap. It took me awhile but I finally finished my layout. It was a lot of work. David picked out what pictures he wanted me to use and I went from there. The kit which I used is Backyard Adventure by Connie Prince. The font used is 2Peas scrapbook.

Horse & Buggy Scraplift Challenge

I made another layout for a challenge at Moo Two Designs. For this challenge I had to rework a layout that I had previously made. I decided to rework the original layout that I made when mom was teaching me how to make a layout. I have come a long ways since then.

Here is the original layout.

Here it the new layout. On it I used Jubilee Collaboration Kit from Gotta Pixel Designers. The font that I used was PartybyTom.

Truly Thankful

I have always loved this piece of stitching that mom made. I was thrilled when she gave it to me. We have much to be thankful for. I am thankful for many things. One of the things that I am most thankful for this Thanksgiving is that mom and dad are coming to spend some time with David and me. They have done so much over the years to help us out. I can't begin to thank them enough. I look forward to seeing them again.

I made this layout for the Fireside Tales Challenge at Moo Two Designs. I had to have the word Thankful somewhere on my page. I used the Loving Spoonfuls Collaboration Kit. The font that I used is Edwardian Script ITC.

Layout for Speed Scrap

I attended Connie Prince's speed scrap tonight. There were a lot of people at the chat. This is the layout that I ended up with. It is very different than the others that people have posted. I like seeing how everyone can have the same instructions to follow but come up with a very different layout. I used Connie Prince's Comfort Zone Kit for my layout and the Myriad Pro Font.

I decided to get started on making layouts for some of the challenges.I made this layout so that it will work for challenges at Digitals and Moo Two Designs. The Kit that I used is a free mini that Beth Rimmer made for the Designers Element Challenge at Digitals. It matches her Mama Is In The Kitchen Kit. The challenge that I used this layout for at Moo Two Designs is the Chuck Wagon Recipe Roundup. For this challenge I needed a recipe that used Cranberries.

TOPS

I started off the day by going to my TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group. I was excited that I hadn't gained any weight since last week. I wish that I could start losing weight again. I guess that I just need to be patient and the weight will slowly come off. We planned several lunches/parties for the next month. I don't know how they expect us to lose weight when they are doing this. Guess that I'll be sure to bring something healthy to the pot luck Christmas Party.

I am still waiting to be assigned a designer to work with for the month at Moo Two Designs so I haven't gotten any layouts done yet. I am going to work on some other layouts tonight if I don't get the stuff for this. I am really looking forward to scrapping again. When I get some layouts done I will post them here for all to see.

The Start of a New Blog

It has been over 5 months since I have done any scrap booking. I didn't scrapbook for awhile due to some health concerns. Then when I was ready to scrap again my program would no longer work on  my computer. I tried everything that my dad and brothers could think of doing to get it to work but had no success at it. So I have been without a scrapbook program. The good news is that I will be getting one for Christmas. In the mean time I have downloaded the trial version of PSE 9. I am going to start to use it today.

I found out about a new scrapbook site earlier this evening or rather yesterday as technically it is Thursday now and no longer Wednesday. I looked through the Store at this site and was impressed with what I saw in it so I decided to try to become a member of the Sites CT. I was happy to hear quite quickly that they wanted me on the CT. I am just waiting for it to go through that I am on the CT and then I will start to work on layouts.

I will be using this page to share the pages that I make with people. I will also try to keep up with things that are happening. I haven't done very good in the past at keeping up with a blog so this is going to be something which I really strive to accomplish. I hope that people will enjoy reading what I have to say and looking at the pages that I make.
